AURORA – Asbestos was discovered unexpectedly in the city’s central garage, removal of which cost the city around $22,000, city officials said.

Mayor Byron W. Brown said there were no hazardous levels of asbestos in the temporarily closed Northwest District police station.

Hosea Project Movers, a heavy machinery transport company located in Covington, KY, has paid a $22,000 fine on charges it violated Ohio’s asbestos emission control standards, according to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
