Pennsylvania Couple Sues 2 Companies in Asbestos Case
TYLER – A Pennsylvania resident complaints that he developed mesothelioma and severe respiratory problems as he was exposed to asbestos fibers while working in Texas.
Robert Plummer and his wife Nadine have filed a suit in the Tyler Division of the Eastern District of Texas against T & N Limited and TAF International Limited, claiming that the man is now forced to live with fear, fear, distress, and mental anguish caused by the knowledge of having a terminal disease. The suit was filed through the Federal-Mogul Asbestos Personal Injury Trust, a Delaware statutory trust, on November 2.
The complaint states that Plummer was exposed to defective and unreasonably dangerous products and inhaled toxic asbestos fibers while working for the defendant corporations. The products were manufactured by the defendants.
According to the lawsuit, due to continuous asbestos exposure, the plaintiff developed mesothelioma, a rare and incurable form of cancer. The suit states that the defendants didn’t warn their employees of the risks of working with asbestos-containing products and failed prevent or minimize the plaintiff’s exposure to the hazardous products.
The defendants were negligent for failing to keep up with the latest literature regarding the perilous propensities of asbestos fibers, the lawsuit states.
