Wisconsin settles with mobile home burner

MADISON, Wis. A man who was charged for disposing of and burning mobile homes illegally has settled the case with the Wisconsin justice department.
According to the department, it settled the charges against Randall Cornford as well as his business River Junction Mobile Home Services regarding asbestos violations in Crawford and Grant counties.

City and Funeral Home Fined over Asbestos Violations

ROCKFORD Michigan Occupational Safety & Health Administration (MIOSHA) fined Rockford city and a downtown funeral home for asbestos violations occurred in an the April demolition of a Main Street house. Former employee sues Harrahs over asbestos exposure

A former employee of Harrahs Hotel and Casino, who claims that he and his 3-year-old son became sick as a result of asbestos exposure, is suing the resort for $10 million.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) warned the hotel following a dozen asbestos violations found in an inspection.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. The Humanities Building at Western Washington University in Bellingham has been evacuated and closed over asbestos concerns.

Woman Sues 37 Companies in Asbestos Case

A woman is suing 37 defendant corporations on behalf of a man who died of a malignant asbestos-related illness that he developed as a result of occupational exposure.
The lawsuit was filed by Lois C. Gallien in Jefferson County District Court on behalf of Cecil R. Gallien. Lois is the executrix of the estate of Cecil.
