TAMPA – Hillsborough County’s transit agency will expend thousands of dollars to replace asbestos from its electric streetcars.

DEQ Fines County and Contractor for Asbestos Violations

The Oregon Environmental Quality Department has fined Klamath County $8,229 dollars for engaging an unlicensed contractor to carry out asbestos removal on a county road.
The contractor Pilot Rock Excavation also was fined $4,200 for performing asbestos abatement without holding a license to deal with the material.
