Fitchburg property owner and son charged for asbestos safety violations

Tramontozzi, 72, of Tewksbury, and his son Thomas M. Tramontozzi, 47, of Fitchburg were charged with a $2,000 fine for violating the Massachusetts Clean Air Act by failing to control asbestos emissions. District Court Judge Paul Magill also imposed a $1,000 fine on each defendant for failure to file notice with MassDEP of asbestos demolition/removal.

UW Implements asbestos awareness training

As a part of a move to comply with Washington State Department of Labor & Industry regulations, UW Environmental Health & Safety is giving training on general asbestos awareness to all UW employees.
